The History of West Malling
The town is rich in history and culture raring to be explored. The ancient remains of St Leonard’s Tower, built around 1077 is only a short stroll from the town centre.
If you manage to find the bronze sculpture Hope, you can see the history of the town displayed on its panels, one of which shows the first ever recorded cricket match in 1705.
There is also a vast amount of Blue Plaques dotted around the village celebrating notable figures from the village's past which are ready to be discovered.

Manor Park Country Park is within walking distance from The Coach House accommodation West Malling. Boasting large open spaces, and an open lake. This country park is perfect for a day out with the family for a picnic, or a kick-about. The Country Park holds an abundance of native plants and animals.
Leybourne Lakes Country Park is also nearby and is a Green Flag Award winning country park featuring 93 hectares of lakes, grasslands, woodland and marshland, which can all be enjoyed. The park can be used for many activities such as fishing, windsurfing, cycling and walking, so it is the perfect location for thrill seekers and families alike.
West Malling is well connected to the surrounding areas, and beyond. With its own train station, only a 10 minute walk away which provides regular trains to London, Maidstone, and Ashford. As well as rail connections, the town is a short drive from the M20 and M26.
